Food 4 Seasons is running two programs from the Urangan Community Centre and has been running since January 2014. It was identified that there was a need for food programs in the Urangan area, particularly for those in need and doing it tough even though.
We currently run 2 programs:
Food 4 Seasons:
- A social program held every Thursday from 10.00am to 1.30pm. The program has a vision of providing a social place for residents of Hervey Bay who may feel isolated or alone. Guests are invited to come along and enjoy morning tea and lunch and meet up with others from the community. The program provides board games, newspapers, puzzles, music, magazines and books along with conversation that
guests can enjoy. All food served is homemade onsite at the Urangan Community Centre Kitchen by a great group of dedicated volunteers.
Food 4 Seasons Breakfast:
- The Food 4 Seasons Breakfast was launched on the 28th January 2014 and runs every Tuesday Morning from 6.30 am to 8.30am and targets those experiencing low socioeconomic circumstances as well as school students who are in need of breakfast and a packed lunch. We offer over 30 free hot vegetarian breakfasts, with fresh fruit, juice and yoghurt available.
